Arizona Highways Photo Workshops (AHPW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to photography education throughout the Southwest and beyond. AHPW originated in 1970 as an auxiliary to Arizona Highways magazine, recruiting the magazine’s freelance photographers as workshop instructors.

Today, the organization continues its mission to promote an appreciation for the cultural, historic and scenic wonders of Arizona through superior photographic education. With more than 60 workshops each year, AHPW has a workshop for all photography enthusiasts, from beginners to experts.

This blog aims to further AHPW’s educational reach with photography content from our expert photography instructors and dedicated trip leaders. To learn more about Arizona Highways Photo Workshops and see our workshop offerings, follow us on social media and check out our website: www.ahpw.org

  1. Hi,
I plan to hiking from escalante part to the reflection canyon and water supply is a huge concern for me since I’m doing it on July. renting a boat is not an option due to cost 🙂 Do you mind to share if you can reach the top since your photo looks from a lower angle compared most of the reflection canyon photos. If it does, do you may to share from where/how you route to the top?

    Thanks for your help
